All creative designs submitted through CecilioArana and its affiliates (through the Merch by Amazon program incorporated to all of our affiliated platforms online and offline) fully adhere to this Content Policy Guidelines. To help you get started with these policies please read the additional information below.
The list is not exhaustive and the guidelines may change over time. There may be additional guidelines that are not shown here. Also, guidelines may vary by marketplace and/or country. Our design may be rejected for any of the following reasons.
1.1 Copyright: Designs that incorporate copyrights which we don't have the rights to use, or copied from someone else. It is our responsibility to ensure that our content doesn't violate copyright laws. Asking ourselves always, “did I design this or did I copy someone else’s work to create this?” Designs with the same idea/concept are allowed; the artwork itself, however cannot be copied without the owner’s permission.
1.2 Trademark: Designs that incorporate trademarks which we don't have the rights to use. It is our responsibility to ensure that our content doesn't violate trademark or other rights. We do check the USPTO for trademarks here: https://www.uspto.gov/.
1.3 International Law: Designs that violate the laws of the countries where our product is being sold. If we sell our design outside of the United States we make sure that we are following the specific laws for those countries we choose to market or sell in. We do check with an attorney to discuss our legal rights regarding our design.
2.1 Pornographic Content: Designs with pornography or offensive depictions of graphic sexual acts.
2.2 Child Exploitation: Designs that depict minors in a sexually suggestive manner.
2.3 Profanity: Designs with curse words or variations of curse words.
2.4 Promotion of Hate or Intolerance: Designs that explicitly promote, glorify, or incite hatred, intolerance or exploitation of a group or individual based upon any of the following traits: race, ethnic origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion or disability.
2.5 Human Tragedy: Designs that depict a human tragedy, are directly connected with a tragedy, or treat human life satirically.
2.6 Promotion Of Violence: Designs that promote violence, glorify violence, or attempt to incite violence through cruelty, death, or torture against an individual or a group of individuals. Content depicting or encouraging mass murder and suicide are not acceptable. See also Human Tragedy policy and such example here.
3.1 Blank Designs: Designs which are blank.
3.2 Content mismatch/spelling: Spelling should match in the title, description, and imagery used. For example, if our title states “I Really Love Cats OK?” and the imagery text states ‘I Realy love Cats OK?’ where ‘Really” is misspelled in the design.
3.3 Inaccurate product descriptions: Product descriptions should match the design and content that we are selling. For example, our design displays a cat with lasers, but the description describes the product as a dog playing poker. Another example is using keywords and descriptions that do not relate to the design, a.k.a. "keyword stuffing," or inaccurately describing our product as glow-in-the-dark, sparkling, or maternity wear.
3.4 Solicitations for positive customer reviews: Metadata that solicits positive reviews for our design or product, or uses quotes or testimonials in the description.
3.5 External Contact Information: Use of phone numbers, physical mail addresses, e-mail addresses or website URLs in the metadata.
3.6 Design Quality: Artwork that contains low design quality, including blurry images, or low resolutions.
4.1 Benefit and Charity Donations: Descriptions that give the impression that we, our affiliates, MarketPlace or Amazon donates sales proceeds to charity, or that our sales proceeds will be donated. We do not and will not use such for any campaigns.
4.2 Political Campaign Donations: Descriptions that give the impression that we, our affiliates, MarketPlace or Amazon donates sales proceeds to political campaigns, or that our sales proceeds will be donated. We do not and will not use such for any campaigns.
5.1 Quality, Shipping, and Fulfillment: Designs or items that make promises about the quality of the product, speed of shipping or fulfillment, and the manufacturing country of origin. For example, using terms such as high quality, satisfaction guaranteed, ships in 2 days, Prime shipping available, or printed in the USA. We do not and will not use such for any campaigns.
